The waters around the British Isles are home to an amazing variety of fish, shellfish, sea weeds and sea grasses, offering many wonderful tastes, colours, but most of all, a guarantee of healthy eating. At Thyme & Tides Ashley’s fish counter is traditionally laid out to reflect these products, with an emphasis on seasonality.
We use carefully selected suppliers to source our products with the emphasis being on the small south coast day boat fleets, which constantly deliver sustainable, wonderful fresh fish, British weather permitting!
Join us for Friday Night Fish & Chips: Fresh fish sourced by Ashley is fried in our crisp batter and served with Chef’s handcut chips, peas and tartare sauce – if you prefer your fish can be grilled. The fish on offer changes weekly from the familiar to the not so familiar. One week it may be haddock and whiting, the next gurnard, monkfish and snapper.
